The copper centerpiece is made by pressing thick 14g copper sheet into a die; both press and die were made by Kevin Potter of Potter USA. The resulting copper disc with its noble Native American elder in his impressive headdress was then surrounded by a sterling silver circlet and securely soldered in place with six individually placed tabs. Hanging from this circlet is a handmade copper and sterling silver accented barrel which, in turn, holds a genuine tan leather tassel.
Genuine turquoise in green with webbing in tan, brown and black are interspersed with copper and sterling silver beads are attached to the circlet with two copper 'S' then attach to a genuine tan leather necklace with a hammered sterling silver ring, with genuine carved bone eagle head, on one side and a custom made copper and sterling silver button on the other as closure for the necklace. The button features hand drawn and etched Native American petroglyphs, oxidized to reveal the detail with a hammered sterling silver rim. The necklace is slightly adjustable.
Total length is 45" long with the pendant and tassel art 10-1/2" long. The sterling silver and copper chieftain piece is 1-1/2" in diameter. turquoise beads are freeform and are approximately 10 to 15mm in diameter.
