Santa Fe style cross necklace is handmade from hammered copper sheet and sterling silver wire. Thick sterling silver wire is hammered and soldered to form a cross which is then soldered to a 2" x 1-1/2" hammered copper plate. 16 gauge wire is then formed into a half circle and forms the 'hanger' by looping into holes in the top of the hammered copper plate. The copper plate is oxidized to show texture and make the polished sterling silver cross really pop!
